welcome to roam

Roam is where you come not just to move with purpose, but to connect with intention.

hi, i’m mallory

the one behind all of this…

Roam was born from years of observation across both yoga studios and weight rooms. We recognized a pattern: yoga practitioners lacked essential strength components, while dedicated gym-goers missed the mobility and balance of yoga practice. Even more challenging was the time required to pursue both disciplines separately.

We've created a movement approach that respects your time constraints while refusing to compromise on a complete practice. At Roam, we've thoughtfully integrated the essential elements of both disciplines into one efficient, balanced experience suitable for every body—regardless of experience, ability, or background.

But we didn't stop at creating an innovative movement practice. We wanted to build a community too, because we believe transformation deepens when shared with others. Here, you'll find a welcoming space where your individual journey contributes to our collective growth.

Roam was born from a radical vision to revolutionize how we experience movement and yoga. By dissolving the boundaries between traditional yoga and functional fitness, we're creating an entirely new movement practice—one that welcomes and empowers everybody and every body.

roam core values

With nearly 20 years in the movement industry, I've witnessed what works and what falls short. Roam wasn't born from a desire to create just another beautiful space—it emerged from identifying what was missing in both yoga studios and gyms. These aren't just nice-to-have values; they're the essential elements I found lacking as both teacher and student. They drive everything we create at Roam, deliberately setting us apart from traditional movement experiences:

Curiosity: Approach movement with wonder and exploration

Inclusivity: Create space for ALL bodies, abilities, and backgrounds

Playfulness: Find joy in movement and challenge

Functionality: Prioritize practical, real-world movement skills

Community: Stronger together, always

We realised modern yoga classes were offering great classes & experiences, but something was missing…the movement world has taken turns & tangents, offering a beautiful array of opportunities, but the yoga space felt stagnant. We’ve built all of our classes & schedule with four key principles, to optimise for you.

our class & schedule principles

1 / Progressive

We want our classes & schedule to give you opportunities to progress, building on the last. With our Roam Journeys you get a guided experience to assist in your progress. We’ve even formatted elements of predictability, allowing you to witness your progress every time you roll out your mat.

2 / Predictable

Predictable…but the right amount. We’ve created a structure for all of our classes, something you’ll start to become familiar with and can expect. We’ve also built in set blocks, for you to learn the sequence & flow, allowing natural progression. But we don’t want you to get bored…every month we keep the structure, but change our the elements, keeping classes fresh.

3 / Playful

We think movement should be light hearted. We build in play into everything we do. We offer creative transitions & variations on typical postures to assist in wobbles & giggles. We want to space to feel alive not just with your breath, but with buzzing energy keen to to move with curiousity.

4 / Adaptable

For everybody & every body is so important to Roam. We believe that each offering has the opportunity to adapt to the individual needs. Whether is an ongoing modification for an injury, or simple needing to swap out a shape to meet your energy levels, we pride ourselves in the ability to make sure everyone feels they are exactly where they need to be.

It's nice to feel nice in a yoga class, but it's really nice to finally nail that pose you've only had the chance to practice sporadically in drop-in classes or expensive workshops. Our 4-week blocks give you what most yoga classes can't: the time and repetition needed to actually get better.

When you know what's coming next, you can focus on the quality of your practice rather than just keeping up. When you've done the sequence before, you can challenge yourself in ways that feel both safe and exciting. When you have four weeks with the same poses, you get to experience the magic of genuine progression.

This is yoga with purpose. This is practice that actually builds on itself. This is how we help you not just move through poses, but truly master them.

the power of progression:

our 4 week class blocks

Like most things in life, we thrive on progress. It motivates us, drives us, and gives us that incredible sense of accomplishment when we finally master something we've been working toward. So why shouldn't yoga be the same?

our intentional design

Each of our class styles follows the same carefully crafted sequence for four consecutive weeks. This isn't about becoming repetitive or boring; it's about creating real opportunity for growth.

Week 1: Learn - Familiarize yourself with the sequence and alignment
Week 2: Adjust - Refine your form and find your modifications
Week 3: Build - Develop strength and stability in each pose
Week 4: Progress - Push deeper, hold longer, and surprise yourself

why this changes everything…
