with Nikki Ralston
6:15pm - 7:45pm | $55

Going upside down isn't just about balance — it's about building strength, trust, and confidence.
This workshop breaks the handstand down into achievable steps: wrist prep, shoulder strength, core engagement, alignment, safe entries and exits, wall drills, and balance techniques — plus drills to keep practising at home.
No pressure, no expectation to hold a "perfect" handstand. Just space to learn, play, and see what's possible.
This workshop leads into our Level 2 class.
Suitable for: students with a regular yoga practice who are comfortable bearing weight through their hands. No handstand experience required.

Backbends are an elusive and sometimes scary part of a yoga practice, because they ask us to open our heart space, and there is a vulnerability implicit in the movement.
This 90-minute workshop breaks it down - from hip opening (the origin of backbends are the hip flexors) to strengthening and opening through the middle and upper back, shoulder strength and release, to wall and block drills to full wheel pose. We will look at gently opening the heart space, containing and strengthening the front body in order to safely access the back body, and safe ways to come back down.
All levels welcome. Whether you've never gone past a tentative cobra, but are curious, up or you're refining your technique, we'll meet you where you are and build from there. -

That moment when someone floats effortlessly to the top of their mat — weightless, controlled, like gravity's optional — is one of the most satisfying things you'll do on a mat. It's also one of the most misunderstood.
Floating isn't magic, it's mechanics. In this 90-minute workshop we break down exactly what's happening in the movement — the lift, the control, the timing — so it stops feeling like a party trick and starts feeling like something you actually understand and own.

HELD EACH BLOCK
Like everything we've built here at Roam, an experience is nice. A creative flow is fun. But progress - that's what we're about. A single workshop is a great start, but real progress needs repetition and structure. That's why every workshop is the foundation for the three weeks that follow - Level 2 Flow classes built directly around what we just broke down together.
Every class in the block has a purpose. Every session moves you forward. Book your Level 2 Classes here.
